Michael J. Collins (born March 4, 1971) is a researcher in the field of computational linguistics. His research interests are in natural language processing, and machine learning (External Link). He has made several important contributions in statistical parsing (including a state-of-the-art parser of the Wall Street Journal corpus) and in statistical machine learning.
